T3's guide: settings 1 to 4 for fine hair, 5 to 6 for medium hair and 7 to 9 for coarse hair. Start low and build up as needed, and go one or two settings lower if your hair is color-treated.

Its 9 settings run from about 260°F on setting 1 to 410°F on setting 9, and each time you turn it on it heats up to your last-used setting.
