12% pure vitamin C serum

Vitamin C for a smoother, brighter look

A face and neck serum that combines 12% pure vitamin C with salicylic acid and neurosensine. La Roche-Posay made it to visibly reduce wrinkles, boost radiance and smooth skin, in a formula suitable for sensitive skin.

12% pure vitamin C

Also known as L-ascorbic acid, the water-soluble form of vitamin C, known for its antioxidant and visible anti-aging properties. It sits at the center of the formula.

Salicylic acid and neurosensine

Salicylic acid is known for its exfoliating properties, helping clear and refine the look of pores. Neurosensine, a synthetic dipeptide, is used to help skin feel soothed.

Hydration in the mix

Glycerin and hyaluronic acid help hold moisture, and La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water, naturally rich in selenium, rounds out the formula. The rich serum texture leaves skin feeling softer and more hydrated.

How to apply

Three to four drops every morning

After cleansing, apply 3 to 4 drops to face and neck, taking care to avoid the eye area, and gently massage in with your fingertips. Follow with your daily moisturizer and sunscreen.

  • Use it in your morning routine.
  • Using retinol? Keep it for the evening.
  • A yellow tint over time is normal.
Should I use it morning or night?

La Roche-Posay recommends the daytime. Apply it after cleansing, before moisturizer and sunscreen, so its antioxidant care works through the day.

Can I use it with retinol?

Yes, but split them: Vitamin C12 Serum in the morning and retinol products in the evening. If you use retinol during the day, always wear sunscreen.

Why is my serum changing color?

Pure vitamin C can react on contact with air and turn yellow. La Roche-Posay says it is still effective, and recommends storing the serum at normal room temperature.

Is it good for oily skin?

It is designed for all skin types, but the brand says it is better suited to normal and dry skin. For oily and combination skin, La Roche-Posay makes a separate oil control version.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

Yes. La Roche-Posay lists it as suitable for sensitive skin, and as non-comedogenic, oil-free and paraben-free.

Where and how much do I apply?

Three to four drops on the face and neck, avoiding the eye area. Massage in gently with your fingertips, then follow with moisturizer and SPF.

What is the texture like?

An ultra-light, non-greasy serum that absorbs fast. La Roche-Posay describes it as a rich gel-serum that leaves skin feeling softer and more hydrated.

Can I return it once opened?

Opened skincare can't be resold, so it is returnable only if it arrived damaged or was the wrong item. Sealed and unopened, you have 30 days from delivery to start a return.
