How to apply

Two or three drops, up to twice a day

After cleansing and toning or exfoliating, smooth 2 to 3 drops over face and neck, morning, evening or both. In the morning, always finish with sunscreen; at night, follow with the rest of your routine.

  • Mix into a non-SPF moisturizer if you like.
  • Keep copper peptides for the other routine.
  • Use within 3 months of opening.
What color should it be?

Anything from clear to pale peach or amber is normal, and vitamin C may darken over time. Store it in a cool, dark place, away from heat, with the cap tightly closed.

How long does it last once opened?

Paula's Choice recommends using it within 3 months of opening for freshness. Writing the opening date on the bottom of the bottle helps you keep track.

Can I use it with sunscreen?

Yes, and the brand recommends it. Apply the booster after cleansing, then finish with a moisturizer rated SPF 30 or higher. If you mix it into a moisturizer, pick one without SPF so you do not dilute your protection.

Can I combine it with retinol?

Yes. Paula's Choice suggests vitamin C in the morning and retinol at night, introducing both gradually.

Is there anything I should not mix it with?

Copper peptides, which can make pure vitamin C less effective. If you use both, apply one in the morning and the other at night. It pairs well with niacinamide, AHA, BHA and PHA.

Does it contain fragrance?

No. It is free of fragrance, dyes, silicones and parabens, and it is vegan.
