Apply, wait 3 minutes, rinse

In the shower, apply generously to wet hair from roots to ends. Leave it on for 3 minutes, then rinse and follow with your shampoo and conditioner. Olaplex recommends using it before shampoo, not after.

Does it work on all hair types?

Yes. Olaplex says N°.3PLUS works on all hair types and textures, and on all types of damage, including heat, styling, color and chemicals, mechanical friction, the environment and hard water.

Is this the original N°.3 formula?

It is the next version of it. Olaplex describes N°.3PLUS as the evolution of the original formula: it gives cortex-to-cuticle repair, adds moisture and defends against future damage, in a 3-minute treatment in the shower.

How often should I use it?

Olaplex suggests it every 1 to 3 washes, and weekly for lasting repair and prevention. It can be used daily, though the brand notes that once or twice a week gives the same benefits.

Do I use it before or after shampoo?

Before. It is a pre-shampoo treatment: apply it to wet hair in the shower, leave it on for 3 minutes, rinse, then shampoo and condition.

Is it safe on color-treated hair?

Yes. Olaplex says N°.3PLUS is safe to use on color-treated hair.

Does it contain protein or keratin?

No. The formula has no protein and no keratin, and it is free of SLS and SLES sulfates.

Can I leave it on overnight?

There is no need. Olaplex says it works in 3 minutes and asks you to follow the directions on the bottle.

Can I return it once opened?

Opened hair care can't be resold, so it is returnable only if it arrived damaged or was the wrong item. Sealed and unopened, you have 30 days from delivery to start a return.
